When is the best time to go to Ponderosa Palisades?

The best time to go to Ponderosa Palisades is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds. Spring offers mild temperatures, typically ranging from 15°C to 25°C, making it ideal for outdoor activities like hiking and exploring the national parks without the peak summer heat. Wildflowers are often in bloom, adding to the scenery. Autumn also provides comfortable temperatures, usually between 10°C and 20°C, alongside the stunning fall foliage. This period is particularly good for those looking to enjoy scenic drives and vineyard tours as the harvest season begins. The cooler evenings are great for relaxing by a fire. While summer (July and August) is popular, with temperatures often exceeding 30°C, it's also the busiest time, leading to larger crowds and higher prices for accommodation and activities.

Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?

Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel’s cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Ponderosa Palisades hotel for you.

Firelite Lodge

10/10 Excellent

"Loved the fireplace, cozy room and easy access to nearby favorite spots. Great price too."

The Inn at Truckee

8/10 Good

"Overall, I'm satisfied with my choice. I needed an after hours check in. They accommodated with my key in a lockbox. The first night was rough. The springs in the bed were worn out in the center. Felt like sleeping on the inside hinge of a book. Thankfully they were able to move me to a newer bed the next morning. Pros: Fridge and microwave, close to stores and restaurants, friendly staff, ample parking. Cons: The breakfast was sad, lamps were in various stages of disrepair, the tables outside welcome loud late night socializing, lot's of construction right in front of the hotel."

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino

8/10 Good

"This is a nice hotel, but the bed was so soft that it sank when you sit/lie down (I am 105 lbs); causing sleepless night with back pain. The drain in the shower was partially clogged, I have to stop running the water intermittently to let it drain. This maybe an isolated incident to this one room. The view from the room was beautiful ! Overall a good trip."
